Here at Sophie’s Voice I am very strict about the importance of keeping the Christmas holiday period sacred.
Preparations and celebrations have already commenced – starting on the 1st of December with the opening of the first advent calendar door.
I am, however, well aware that some of the people who make the holiday so magical start their work a little bit earlier in the year.
Take, for example, the NORAD Santa Tracker team. These lovely people have kept children all over the world au fait with the travels and travails of Father Christmas every year for the last 61 years.
I’ve provided you with the entire film of Mr Christmas’ journey in 2015. Spare 22 and a half minutes – you won’t regret it.
Oh, and a word to the wise, any Santa cynics will be ignored. Hate the holiday, not the show. Just give it a go – it’ll make a child of you all over again.
Here’s the first of many I’ll be saying to you over the holidays…Merry Christmas – to each and every one of you. And, don’t worry, my fellow Chrismukkah celebrants – there are dreidels and sweet, fried foods planned as well.
It’s time to start putting booze in your morning coffee…it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
