The February Instagram Challenge…

As many of you will know, I’m trying to challenge myself at a realistic level every day.
It means that I can achieve and maintain something – which is always important for morale.
Here are the results of my February Instagram Challenge…

Day 1 – ‘Drink’
Cheers! Champagne drunk from a coupe seems to taste so much more extravagant than it does from a flute.
Very Gatsby.

Day 2 – ‘So Colourful’
White chested rose finch.

image

Day 3 – ‘Car’
Ford Mustang.

image

Day 4 – ‘Texture’
Chocolate meringue pavlova with salted caramel, whiskey sauce, raspberries & caramel hazelnuts.

image

Day 5 – ‘Coffee’
Anytime is Coffee Time.

image

Day 6 – ‘Just Now’
The only missing picture…

Day 7 – ‘I Ate Here’
Wall at TriBeCa, Smithdown Road, Liverpool.

image

Day 8 – ‘Family’
‘There are two gifts we should give our children: one is roots. And the other is wings’.

image

Day 9 – ‘A Corner’
A pair of Architectural Pottery pieces designed by LaGardo Tackett at Pierre’s Koenig’s Case Study House, 21.

image

Day 10 – ‘Pink’
Lovebirds.

image

Day 11 – ‘A Wall’
Mural from Surface View – flowers and shell design, Balthasar Van Der Ast.

image

Day 12 – ‘Paper’
Paper sculpture, Irving Harper.

image

Day 13 – ‘A pet’
Denny Dog is the doorstop that my daughters regularly take with them to the park.

image

Day 14 – ‘My Happy Place’
My bed. With everything I need for child-free contentment: a laptop with strong WiFi connection, magazines, matching stationery, 2H pencils and a therapeutic cat.
All on ridiculously extravagant bedding and a candlewick bedspread – a gift to myself and something to remind me of home.

image

Day 15 – ‘Yellow and Blue’
Navy and yellow floral fabric by IKOplusFabric.

image

Day 16 – ‘Empty’
In August of 2007, astronomers located a gigantic hole in the universe. This empty space, stretching nearly a billion light-years across, is devoid of any matter such as galaxies, stars, and gas, and neither does it contain the strange and mysterious dark matter, which can be detected but not seen. The large void in the Constellation Eridanus appears to be improbable given current cosmological models. A radical and controversial theory proposes that it is a “universe-in-mass black hole”.

Day 17 – ‘Door’
Bird door knocker.

image

Day 18 – ‘In the Background’
The View Through A Leaf, Kobi Refaeli.

image

Day 19 – ‘Breakfast’  Shredded hash browns and cheese nests baked until crispy topped with baked eggs, crumbled bacon and more cheese. Served with chilled avocado slices.

image

Day 20 – ‘Keeping Fit’
Running. It makes me feel alive.

image

Day 21 – ‘Hobby’
Collecting vintage copies of magazines – especially Vogue.
I don’t have a very good pension so I’m going to have to let them go eventually…

image

Day 22 – ‘Ice Cream’
Stracciatella cone – just like I ate on my honeymoon.

image

Day 23 – ‘Pastel’
Resin Pineapples, Mybuckett.com.

image

Day 24 – ‘Path’
Path around Sudley House, Liverpool on a grey February Sunday.

image

Day 25 – ‘Peek-a-Boo’
Jacqueline Bisset’s peek-a-boo long bob.

image

Day 26 – ‘Out of Place’
Belonging by Patrick Murphy, Art installation at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool – for the Liverpool Biennial.

image

Day 27 – ‘A Shape’
Dancer’s physical contortion.

image

Day 28 – ‘I Love This’
The cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show – 40 years on.
